Sistr is a temp agency that helps companies find, qualify, and connect with available temp workers for their assignments.

Before partnering with Scroll, no dedicated platform existed to centralize temp worker management, their availability, their documents, and the assignments offered. The entire process therefore had to be designed and built from scratch.

The challenge was to create a business platform capable of simplifying the relationship between temp agencies and temp workers, while leveraging a channel already widely used in daily life: WhatsApp.

The main goal: enable temp workers to easily manage their availability, documents, and assignments through a seamless conversational experience, while providing agencies with a clear back office to manage their operations.

Problem / Mission:

Sistr needed to create a comprehensive solution to digitize and streamline temp worker management.

The challenge was not to replace an existing tool, but to build a business platform from the ground up, with a simple logic: maximize ease of communication between temp agencies and temp workers, while automating repetitive tasks.

In the temp industry, responsiveness is essential. Agencies must be able to quickly identify available profiles, verify their documents, propose suitable assignments, and maintain a clear overview of everyone’s availability.

For temp workers, the experience had to remain simple and accessible. Rather than imposing a new, complex tool to learn, Sistr wanted to integrate part of the process directly into WhatsApp, allowing temp workers to interact with the platform through a channel they already use.

Scroll’s mission was therefore to design and develop a web platform connected to WhatsApp, capable of managing availability, documents, assignments, and matching between agency needs and temp worker profiles.

Solution

We supported Sistr in framing, designing, and developing a dedicated business platform for temp worker management.

The solution is based on a web application that allows temp agencies to manage their operations from a centralized dashboard. Teams can view profiles, track availability, manage documents, visualize assignments, and identify the most relevant temp workers for each need.

A scheduling system allows temp workers to input their availability, so agencies can quickly see who is available for a given assignment. This information is then used in the matching process between open assignments and available profiles.

The platform also includes a matching module that pairs assignments with temp workers based on various criteria: availability, profile, validated documents, administrative information, and alignment with assignment requirements.

To simplify the temp worker experience, an AI chatbot connected to WhatsApp was implemented. It allows temp workers to interact with the platform conversationally, without necessarily using a traditional web interface. They can submit information, update their profile, input their availability, and follow certain steps related to their assignments.

A KYC and document validation process was also integrated via Youcheck. The goal is to ensure reliable collection and verification of the necessary documents before assigning certain missions.

On the technical side, the platform was developed with Next.js and Supabase to provide a solid, fast, and scalable foundation. n8n was used to orchestrate automations, connect various services, and streamline exchanges between the platform, WhatsApp, and document verification tools.

Results

The platform enables Sistr to structure a new experience for temp agencies and temporary workers.

Agencies now have a centralized tool to track profiles, availability, documents, and assignments. On their end, temporary workers can interact with the platform more easily, particularly thanks to WhatsApp integration.

The solution provides better visibility into availability, reduces manual exchanges, and simplifies matching between assignments and available profiles.
