Webflow E-commerce : créer son site e-commerce grâce à Webflow

Are you familiar with Webflow E-commerce? A solution that lets you create sleek e-commerce sites with ease!

Are you familiar with Webflow? Increasingly, this no-code CMS is establishing itself as a benchmark in web development. Thanks to its intuitive drag-and-drop site editor, it’s now easier than ever to create stylish, high-performance websites. At Scroll, we’re Webflow specialists: we design and build our clients’ sites using this tool. In particular, we frequently use one of Webflow’s flagship products: Webflow E-commerce. Scroll, the Webflow Agency expert, tells you everything you need to know about this solution!

What is Webflow E-commerce?

Webflow E-commerce, as its name suggests, is a Webflow product. Launched relatively recently, it has been continuously improving ever since. Its goal? To help you create e-commerce sites while retaining the simplicity of the classic editor that makes this CMS so valuable.

With Webflow E-commerce, you can easily create conversion funnels, product pages, and integrate Stripe as a payment solution. The number of products you can add to your catalog depends on the Webflow plan you’ve subscribed to.

Webflow’s e-commerce feature is well-designed: it allows you to create product feeds for Facebook, Instagram, or Google Ads. Mailchimp is also included in all plans, so you can automate email sending to your customers—whether for order confirmations or promoting new products on your site. A true all-in-one solution for online sales!

Our take on Webflow’s e-commerce plan

How does Webflow E-commerce measure up? While CMS platforms like Shopify have long specialized in creating online stores, can Webflow establish itself as a leader in this space?

At Scroll, our answer is yes. Today, Webflow’s e-commerce product offers a full range of services to manage your online sales from A to Z. But the real advantage is that this e-commerce solution also brings the full power of Webflow’s classic site editor, giving you far greater design and customization options than with a Shopify site.

If you want to create an e-commerce site, we therefore recommend using Webflow. For a comparable price, you’ll get more features and more flexibility than with other solutions.

Powerful features

Subscribing to Webflow E-commerce gives you access not only to its specific features but also to all the elements of a standard Webflow plan. This includes Webflow’s drag-and-drop editor, as well as the “Site” or “Business” plan. It covers your custom domain name, website hosting and security, and the ability to connect APIs to build your web applications on your site.

A wide selection of templates

Like most other CMS platforms, Webflow allows you to select templates as a starting point for your site. With the launch of its e-commerce product, Webflow also introduced templates tailored for online stores. Some are free, others are paid. The selection is extensive, though perhaps slightly less so than WordPress or Shopify, given the product’s relative newness.

If this might be a drawback for some, it isn’t for Scroll: we design our clients’ websites from scratch, so we don’t use pre-made templates.

Webflow E-commerce: plans and pricing

Webflow E-commerce offers 3 plans at different price points: Standard, Plus, and Advanced. All plans include the features we discussed earlier. The difference lies in sales and product volumes. Transaction fees also vary from one plan to another.

Standard Plan – $29/month

Webflow E-commerce’s Standard Plan lets you build a store with up to 500 products. You can also sell up to $50,000 worth of merchandise per year. At $29 per month, this is a very reasonable rate. However, you’ll need to account for a 2% transaction fee on each sale. This plan is ideal for small-scale stores. Once your sales volume increases, we recommend upgrading to the Plus Plan. The pricing for this plan matches Shopify’s basic plan rates.

Plus Plan – $74/month

Webflow E-commerce’s Plus Plan allows you to add up to 1,000 products to your catalog and reach $200,000 in annual sales through your site. The major advantage of this plan is the removal of transaction fees, making it a serious option once your site generates a significant sales volume. Shopify also offers an equivalent higher-tier plan for $79 per month, but it still charges a 1% transaction fee per sale. Webflow thus stands out as a more powerful and cost-effective alternative.

Advanced Plan – $212/month

The Advanced Plan is designed for the largest e-commerce sites. You can add up to 3,000 products to your store, with no sales cap. There are also no transaction fees. It’s an expensive plan, but highly attractive for the largest sites.

For comparison, Shopify’s highest-tier plan costs $299 per month, with a 0.5% transaction fee.

Webflow E-commerce: a more affordable price than other market solutions

Webflow E-commerce stands out as a powerful, more flexible solution than its direct competitors. While the no-code tool’s pricing is generally similar for small or medium-sized stores, Webflow E-commerce proves especially compelling for larger e-commerce sites.
